ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY
1 Right to Request Account Deletion
A registered user may request deletion of the user’s Nanighar account at any time.
Account deletion is different from:
-
logging out;
-
uninstalling the application;
-
disabling promotional messages; or
-
temporarily deactivating an account.
Uninstalling the Nanighar application does not automatically delete the account or associated personal data.
2 How to Request Deletion
A deletion request may be submitted through any available method below:
Through the Nanighar application
Go to:
Profile/Account → Settings → Privacy or Account Management → Delete Account
Follow the verification instructions and confirm the request.
Through the website
Visit [Account Deletion Webpage URL], enter the registered account details and complete the verification process.
By email
Send an email to admin@` with:
-
subject: “Account Deletion Request”;
-
registered name;
-
registered mobile number or email address; and
-
sufficient information to identify the account.
Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs or complete card details.
3 Identity Verification
Nanighar may verify the request through an OTP, registered email, account login or another proportionate verification method.
Verification is necessary to prevent unauthorised deletion, identity theft and fraudulent requests.
Where Nanighar cannot reasonably verify ownership, additional information may be requested. Only information necessary for verification should be provided.
4 What Happens After a Deletion Request
Once the request is verified:
-
the account may be deactivated to prevent further use;
-
active orders, refunds, subscriptions or complaints must first be completed or cancelled;
-
saved addresses, preferences and non-required profile information will be scheduled for deletion;
-
marketing preferences will be updated;
-
personal data that is not legally required will be deleted or anonymised; and
-
information required for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained in restricted form.
Nanighar aims to complete verified account-deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is reasonably required or permitted by law.
5 Information That May Be Retained
Even after account deletion, Nanighar may retain limited information where necessary for:
-
invoices, accounting and tax compliance;
-
payment and refund records;
-
consumer grievances;
-
food-safety investigations;
-
legal claims and limitation periods;
-
fraud, abuse and chargeback prevention;
-
regulatory or law-enforcement directions;
-
enforcing contractual rights; or
-
protecting users and the Platform.
Retained data will not be used for ordinary marketing and will be deleted or anonymised when the applicable purpose or retention requirement ends.
6 Information Shared with Other Parties
Deletion from Nanighar’s active systems may not automatically delete information independently retained by:
-
Food Partners;
-
payment gateways;
-
banks;
-
delivery partners;
-
government authorities; or
-
third-party platforms through which the order was placed.
Nanighar will instruct service providers processing data solely on its behalf to delete or return relevant information where required and technically feasible.
Parties acting as independent businesses may retain information under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
7 Pending Orders, Refunds and Subscriptions
An account may not be fully deleted while it has:
-
an active order;
-
an unresolved payment;
-
a pending refund;
-
an active meal subscription;
-
an unresolved complaint; or
-
an ongoing fraud or security investigation.
Nanighar will process the deletion after the relevant matter is completed, unless immediate restriction or deletion is legally required.
8 Effect of Deletion
After deletion:
-
you may no longer access the account;
-
order history and saved preferences may no longer be available;
-
unused coupons, loyalty points or non-cash promotional credits may expire;
-
deleted information may not be recoverable; and
-
a new account may be required to use Nanighar again.
Any wallet balance representing money paid by the customer will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant wallet terms before deletion.
9 Withdrawal or Reactivation
Where Nanighar offers a short deletion-pending period, you may be able to withdraw the request before permanent deletion by contacting customer support.
Once permanent deletion is completed, Nanighar may not be able to restore the account or its previous information.
10 Deletion Requests for Deceased or Incapacitated Users
A validly nominated person or lawful representative may submit a request concerning a deceased or incapacitated user, subject to identity, authority and account verification.
Nanighar may request documents reasonably necessary to establish the representative’s authority.
